ArgoGlobal Strengthens Credit and Political Risk Offering with Appointment of Daniel Byrne
Today we announced the appointment of Daniel Byrne as credit and political risk underwriter. Byrne takes up his role with immediate effect and will report to Jeremy Shallow, credit and political risks class underwriter.
Byrne brings nearly a decade of underwriting experience to ArgoGlobal. He joins from Aspen Insurance UK Ltd., where he most recently served as acting global head, credit and political risk. Byrne joined the business as an underwriting graduate, and held roles as underwriting assistant and as credit and political risk underwriter.
Jeremy Shallow said: “For over a decade, demand for credit and political risk cover has increased year-on-year. Today’s changing economic landscape, coupled with an increasingly populist global political environment, has amplified companies’ exposure to this risk. We expect that demand for credit and political risk cover will continue to rise. Daniel is an accomplished underwriter with a strong track record. His expertise and experience in this class will be key, as we continue to focus on meeting insureds’ needs through delivering comprehensive and bespoke coverage solutions that adapt alongside market developments. I am very pleased to welcome him to the team.”
